Hello Friends,

Our area is in severe drought conditions. Be sure to keep your plants and lawn watered well to keep them healthy. One rain will not bring us out of the drought. If the rain totals a half inch or more, you may be able to skip one watering session for in-ground plants, then go back to your regular schedule. Containers and hanging baskets still need to be checked for dryness after it rains since the water may get blocked by foliage and flowers. Stick your finger in the soil about 1” down. If the soil is dry, water your containers and baskets the same as before. For ground plantings, check the soil at the base of the plant to see how dry it is and when you need to water.

I would like to wish everyone a Happy Independence Day this coming Tuesday! Have a great holiday trip, gathering or whatever you plan to do for the holiday weekend. I am grateful for all who have served in our military for giving us the ability to celebrate our nation’s birthday and freedom each year. See our special Holiday Hours below this letter. Visit us for flags, patriotic décor, plants, flowers and more to help you celebrate the holiday and decorate for a gathering or party.

Create your favorite summer spaces indoors and outdoors with plants, décor and furniture. We have a great selection of plants for your yard and gardens. Check out the sale flyer in the articles below and visit us June 30th through July 4th for great savings! Enjoy the summer season and all the beautiful blooms and tasty treats from your gardens!

Keep Growing,
Scott Hillermann
